Support & Data Deletion Guide
Need help pairing devices or managing your local encrypted vault? We're here to help.
1. Quick P2P Pairing & Port Troubleshooting
- LAN & Multi-Profile Ports (
5288–5299): PasteMesh automatically binds an available local TCP port in5288..5299and advertises it over UDP5287/5289and mDNS (_pastemesh._tcp). This allows Personal and Android Work Profiles to run simultaneously without port conflicts. - Client-Isolated Wi-Fi / Hotel Networks: Enable BLE Proximity Sync under
☰ → Preferences → Transport & Profile Infoto beam clips directly over Bluetooth Low Energy when LAN routing is blocked.
2. How to Delete Your Data (#data-deletion)
PasteMesh is an accountless, zero-cloud application. No clipboard entries, encryption keys, or device identifiers are ever uploaded to PasteMesh servers. You have complete, instantaneous control over deleting your data:
- Delete Individual Clips: Swipe left on any clip card (or press
Delete/ runpastemesh delete <#>). - Purge Unpinned or All Vault History: Open
☰ → Clear History...in the mobile or desktop app and choose either Clear unpinned clips only or Clear ALL clips (including pinned), or runpastemesh history clear --all. - Destroy All Encryption Keys & Meshes: Uninstall PasteMesh on Android/iOS, or delete
~/.config/pastemesh(%APPDATA%\pastemeshon Windows) to permanently erase all local cryptographic keys and encrypted blobs.
